There are two varieties of Welsh Corgie. They are pictured above and described below.
Cardigan Welsh Corgi
Height - 10 1/2 to 12 1/2 inches
Weight - 25 to 35 pounds
All shades of red, sable and brindle. Black with or without tan or brindle
points. Blue merle with or without tan or brindle points.
Medium length, dense, double. Slightly harsh but never wiry.
Brushed and combed weekly. This dog sheds constantly, and blows coat
completely twice a year. Shedding hair can be an annoyance.
Eergetic and active dog, needs lots of exercise.
Friendly, outgoing with people and other animals.

Excellent with children.
Hip displasia, epilepsy, cataracts, PRA, allergies, hypothyroidism, VWB.

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an interesting combination of the Schipperke, Keeshound, Pomeranian, Samoyed, Chow, Norwegian Elkhound, and Finnish Spitz. He was bred for herding and has evolved into an excellent housedog and family pet.
Males: 10 to 12 inches in height at the shoulder.
Females: 10 to 12 inches at the shoulder.
Red, sable, fawn, black and tan with or without white markings..
Medium length, short thich undercoat. Straight and flat. Shedding is heavy,
grooming requirements are minimal.
Very friendly or outgoing with dogs or people.
Very loyal to owner.
When well trained are usually trustworthy off lead.
Usually are not destructive.
Are not usually very vocal.
Excellent as guard dogs.
Can usually be trusted with small children.
Usually not difficult to housebreak.
Usually good with other animals.

Hip & Shoulder Displasia, Allergies, Epilepsy, PRA, cataracts.
This is another of the few breeds that is a true "all around" dog. He is
highly recommended as an apartment as well as a country dog - family or single
owner - worker or couch potato.
If looking for a Conformation Show dog, this is an excellent choice.
If looking for a Pet/Companion Dog, an excellent choice.
If looking for an Obedience Dog, an excellent choice.
