Standard and Miniature Poodles
Size:
Height - Standard - Over 15 inches
- Miniature - Over 10 inches but under 15 inches
Color:
Solid colors - blue, gray, silver, brown, apricot, cream, white or black
Coat Length:
Curly, naturally harsh, dense
Grooming Requirement:
There are various poodle clips. This dog must be combed out daily to prevent matting. He should be bathed monthly. Grooming will require a minimum of 1/2 hours per day. If allowed to go ungroomed, he will quickly matt. Professional grooming may become costly.
Activity Level:
Very high.
Temperament:
Friendly with people and with other animals.
Reception to Training:
Excellent.
Good with Children:
Usually good with children.
Health Problems:
Hip displasia, epilepsy, eye problems, allergies, hypothyroidism.
Life Span:
12 to 15 years
