The Irish Setter is a bird dog originally developed in Ireland.

Females: 25 inches

Colors:
Mahogany or rich chestnut red with no black.
Coat:
Moderate length and flat with long silky feathering on ears, back of forelegs
and thighs. Shedding is heavy.
Temperament:
Lively, energetic.
Are not usually trustworthy off lead.
Can be destructive if not properly trained.
Usually very vocal.
Not usually good as guard dogs.
Can be trusted with small children that they are raised with.
Usually not difficult to housebreak.
Good with other animals.
