The Weimaraner originated in Germany and was used to hunt big game. With the demise of big
game hunting in Germany, he was trained as a bird dog used on various types of game in upland shooting and as a water
retriever noted for its soft mouth.
Size:
Males: 25 to 27 inches
Females: 23 to 25 inches
Colors:
Solid color in shades of mouse gray to silver gray
Coat:
Short, dense, without wave, hard. Shedding is constant and heavy.
Temperament:
Lively, energetic.
Are not usually trustworthy off lead.
Can be destructive if not properly trained.
Usually very vocal.
Usually too friendly to be good as guard dogs.
Can be trusted with small children that they are raised with.
Usually not difficult to housebreak.
Good with other animals.

Can be difficult to focus.
